Lockheed Martin Space in King of Prussia PA is looking for a Drafter (Mechanical Engineering). As a Drafter, you will be a key technical member supporting the design, development, and manufacturer of spacecrafts, missiles, and ground support hardware. You'll work under the direction of designers and engineers to lay out, draw, and revise part, assembly and installation engineering drawings from basic layouts. The following are examples of duties that may be included:
• Generate layout drawings from 2D / 3D models and from standalone requirements in accordance with standard engineering drafting practices.
• Determine geometric tolerancing and dimensioning of features and scaling parameters, inserting necessary reference planes, centering, and dimension lines along with hidden line interpolations and sectioning. • Prepare specifications for parts, assemblies, and installations
• Prepared complete production detail drawings and schematics.
Support / contribute design modifications to improve quality of product or facilitate manufacturing operations
Basic Qualifications:
• Associates degree in related discipline or equivalent experience, and/or technical training
• Experience with Creo, Solidworks or equivalent (3D Modeling design SW)
• Ability to obtain security clearance

• Desire to continually learn, ambition to proactively address challenges, and aspiration to work in a diverse team and environment
• Basic understanding of STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) principles as well as the ability to interpret, generate, and present technical material and problem solve
• Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail to create high-quality work products
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
