Job description

We are seeking a seasoned and highly motivated Commercial Construction Superintendent with 5+ years of experience managing large-scale commercial construction projects, including public works, K-12 educational facilities, and healthcare projects.

Lehigh Valley based commercial construction firm is currently seeking a full-time Superintendent to join our growing team.

Description

  • Field Supervision: Supervise all on-site construction activities and personnel, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
  • Quality Control: Ensure the highest level of workmanship is maintained and adhere to company and industry quality standards.
  • Scheduling: Develop and maintain project schedules, anticipate potential delays, and implement corrective measures as needed.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and other key stakeholders to coordinate efforts and resolve issues.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure that all safety protocols are followed, conduct regular safety meetings, and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Subcontractor Management: Direct, monitor, and coordinate the work of subcontractors to ensure they meet project requirements and deadlines.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed project records, including daily reports, change orders, and incident reports.
  • Problem Solving: Identify potential issues before they arise and take proactive steps to address challenges efficiently.

Profile

  • 5+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent in the commercial construction industry, with experience in public works, K-12, and healthcare projects.
  • Proven ability to manage projects up to $25 million in value.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, and building codes.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and documents.
  • Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, BuilderTrend, etc.).
  • OSHA 30-hour certification or equivalent safety certification preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
