Job description

Our resident clinic in E. Norriton, PA (Montgomery County) is seeking an additional IM Preceptor to work with our rotating IM residents in an outpatient setting.
Position Description:
- 50/50 Clinical/Precepting
- 20-25 patients per day
- Precept up to 4 residents
- Supervising residents with their panel of patients, adhering to the supervision precepting guidelines as mandated by CMS
- Work with the Internal Medicine Program Director, office manager and/or DIO in providing clinical, operational, patient experience, and staff experience goals of the healthcare center
- Work with office manager to provide residents with performance data on chronic disease management and preventative health care
- Oversee resident-developed action plans for addressing quality care gaps during patient care hours
- Instruct Residents in and monitor appropriate use of Evaluation and Management Documentation as per CMS guidelines
- Provide each resident with timely feedback and evaluation
- Provide oversight for outpatient procedures required by the American Board of Internal Medicine and/or IM residency program (preferred not required)
- New residency clinic being built
Candidate Qualifications:
- MD or DO from Accredited Medical School or Foreign Equivalent
- Successful Completion of an ACGME Accredited Internal Medicine Residency Program
- Must be Board Eligible/ Certified in Internal Medicine
- Ability to Obtain an Unrestricted PA medical license & DEA License
- Experience teaching residents
- Basic understanding of Quality Improvement principles and processes
- Preferred experience with outpatient Internal Medicine procedures, such as joint injections
