Volt is immediately hiring a Senior Java Software Engineer in State College, PA or Richardson, TX or Dulles, VA.

As Senior Java Software Engineer you will:

A successful candidate should be able to:

• The Senior Java Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain advanced software applications for our Satellite Ground Systems.
• This role involves close collaboration with systems engineers, hardware designers, and other software engineers to deliver reliable and high-performance software solutions.

Other responsibilities to anticipate may include:

• Design, implement, and test Java-based applications and software components for satellite ground systems using JUnit for unit testing.
• Working with DevOps and CI/CD Pipelines
• Working with Jenkins and Python
• Working with previously written code and make modifications as necessary.

This is a 12 Month Full-time Contract opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:
Clearance Required: Active TS/SCI

Required Skills

• Typically requires bachelor's degree in science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
• Four (4) years of experience in object-oriented software design and development using Java in a Linux environment and using unit testing tools (e.g., JUnit)
• Familiarity with Git and the Atlassian Tool suite
• DevOps experience using Jenkins, Kubernetes and Docker

Pay Rate: $85 to $90 per Hour
Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
