Job description

Pharmacist needed for a remote contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in Philadelphia, PA. Looking for a Pharmacist to serve as a clinical consultant supporting Medicare members and providers, provide guidance on formulary options and explain drug information to customer service representatives that will relay the messages to the members, and serve as an advisor to prescribing physicians about formulary questions and engage directly with the providers by email or phone.

Hours:
Monday-Friday 7-530 with varying shifts based on day of the week.
Duration: four months with possible extension
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm with occasional Saturday coverage from 8:00am-12:00pm
Type: Remote (local to Philadelphia is preferred)

What You'll Be Doing:

Pharmacist must be familiar with drug information:

  • Dosing and administration routes
  • Safety concerns
  • Side effects
  • Interactions
  • Drug class/formulary alternatives
Pharmacist must:
  • Navigate clinical challenges and offer recommendations
  • Collaborate internally with key stakeholders medical directors, customer service team, IBX pharmacists
  • Speak comfortably with prescribing physicians and provider offices.
  • Answer clinical questions from customer service agents in a timely manner via messaging and emails
  • Direct members through the coverage determination process. Review the feedback from PBM about approval or denial of coverage determination.
  • Toggles between multiple systems and applications
  • Collaborates with interdepartmental teams
  • Excellent communication skills including telephonic (verbal) and digital (messaging, emails).
What You Need to Bring to the Table:
  • Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy with 5 years of relevant clinical experience
  • Experience in handling provider-related questions.
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday shifts.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical formularies.
  • Computer/Technology Competency: Proficient in use of Microsoft Word, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Self-management Skills self-motivated, organized, detail oriented and manages time and resources effectively.
