Job description
Responsibilities Noblis MSD is seeking an Engineering candidate with advanced experience in Mechanical Engineering systems as related to submarine sail systems in the following areas: Submarine Systems in the area of design and modifications of experience US Navy HM&E Submarine Communication and Electromagnetic Systems. Configuration changes, documentation and procurements; experience with material management is preferred . Additionally support various hull, mechanical and electrical systems (HM&E), and research, development, test and evaluation (RDT&E) programs for the Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNS) & Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) Candidate duties will include the following: Support Radar, Electronic Warfare, and Imaging. Tasking will include supporting the modification, troubleshooting, repair, installation, testing, development, manufacturing and upgrading of Submarine Hull Mechanical and Electrical systems. This includes providing on-site support to submarines and other naval facilities Support Integrated logistics support (ILS) on Hull Mechanical and Electrical systems in support of Radar, Electronic Warfare and Imaging systems Support AN/BPS-17 Depot Maintenance Program development to include procedures or documents for: working level procedures, organizational chart, general plant outfitting, facility visual aids, training requirements, training records, material handling, quality policy, safety, security, performance measurements, improvement, planning/control of Depot maintenance, engineering, document control, work packages, failure reporting, calibration program, support/test equipment, common tools, receipt inspections, material identification, in-process inspections, final acceptance inspection, non-conforming material, corrective actions, age dated material, special processes, packaging, storage and shipping. Support AN/BPS-16 Intermediate Level (I-Level) Training Instructor support for the AN/BPS-16 I-Level training Review specifications, technical manuals, and other technical documentation that relate to HM&E systems, and RDT&E programs Assist other engineers and scientists in Mechanical engineering tasks, and project management tasks for assigned projects Provide direct support to the assigned program technical manager Assist with preparation of proposals, presentations and reports, and research technical information to support and design systems Support project planning and execution efforts for research, development, investigations, analyses, and testing Utilize RDT&E to recommend improvements in design, operation, maintenance and safety for assigned systems and equipment Provide supporting technical and logistics documentation relative to recommended design improvements and performance requirements Resolve all equipment and systems issues with the appropriate Subject Matter Expert(s) Provide technical advice and guidance to junior and senior engineers Providing program level support for shipboard advanced Submarine towed bouy systems, distribution systems, by collaboration and teaming efforts with the fleet, Naval Activities, government agencies, contractors, and other NSWC branches Provide direct support for system design maturity, execution, and fielding of Submarine Mechanical Systems. Required Qualifications B.S. Mechanical Engineering, M.S. and PhD. Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis' total compensation package. Posted Salary Range USD $67,800.00 - USD $105,975.00 /Yr.
