CREDIT SPECIALIST-ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE

ABOUT THE COMPANY:

To determine whether clients are eligible for financial aid, we are looking for a responsible Credit Specialist.

The Credit Specialist should compile all relevant applications and supporting materials, examine the financial histories of the clients, and then decide whether to offer financial assistance.
In order to keep customers from defaulting on their loans, you need also keep an eye on their repayments.

OVERVIEW OF THE CREDIT SPECIALIST ROLE:

  • Receives credit and loan applications along with supplementary paperwork.
  • Credit Specialist reviews documents to ensure their completion and precision.
  • Conducts routine inspections to better understand clients' financial track records.
  • Performs risk analyses and uses the findings to inform the amount of credit extended, if applicable.
  • Credit Specialist informs clients about the outcomes of their credit applications.
  • Negotiates interest rates and payment plans that account for the potential risks identified earlier.
  • Credit Specialist supervises the repayment of funds and contacts defaulters to tend to their accounts with urgency.
  • Provides additional financial support to eligible and steadfast clients upon request.
  • Compiles a database of regular defaulters and reports them to the relevant bodies, as appropriate.
  • Works towards maintaining and advancing the financial status of our institution.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR CREDIT SPECIALIST ROLE:

  • Demonstrable experience as a credit specialist.
  • Excellent knowledge of all applicable governing regulations and bodies.
  • Familiarity with sound business, borrowing, and spending practices.
  • Strong research, statistical, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to negotiate credit limits and repayment options.
  • Capacity to let ineligible clients down in a dignified manner.
  • Willingness to institute pertinent corrective measures to procure monies owed.
