Warehouse Logistics Manager
Shift: Monday-Friday 6:45am-3:25pm
Pay Rate: $28.00-31.00/hr based on experience
Location: Red Lion, PA
Our client is located in Red Lion, PA, is one of the world's leading manufacturers of custom, precision-ground industrial blades. Their custom industrial cutting blades are utilized by a variety of industries, including packaging, paper converting, food processing, printing, bag manufacturing, recycling, and many more.
The Warehouse Logistics Manager is responsible for the daily functions of shipping/receiving, quality control, inspection, finished goods, inventory, and the warehouse overall and includes the responsibilities outlined below. Goal is to improve and establish standard operating procedures between all these functions and assure smooth processes are put in place and utilized properly. The position reports to the Production Manager.
Job Responsibilities:
Oversee, manage, train, and evaluate staff within shipping/receiving, quality control, inspection, finished goods, inventory and warehouse departments
Responsible for all packing of work in process and finished goods as required
Manage warehouse/finished goods inventory and keep accurate records of said inventory
Responsible for cycle counts and lead for full physical inventory
Monitor and manage budgets
Assists Shipping/Receiving Supervisor with selecting carriers for transportation and negotiating rates and contracts with carriers
Assist with Shipping/Receiving as needed
Ensure items are being received in NetSuite as soon as they arrive
Create and establish standard operating procedures for shipping, receiving, and packing duties
Assure all required 3 r/d party product is sent out within 24 hours
Respond to and resolve complaints and problems
Serve as backup to confirm proper raw material is on-site per Planner's requirements
Serve as backup to create PO's for raw material and raw material blanket releases as needed
Obtain quotes, as needed, for outside processing requirements
Collect work order completion packages, track shop data for accuracy / completeness, and file
Create PO's for WIP outside operations and expedite with vendors
Purchase supplies for office, shop, and shipping
Approval of expense invoices
Administrative tasks as necessary for Management staff
Ensure that all the company safety policies are adhered to
Always utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment
Offer recommendations for enhanced safety measure and equipment to the Safety Committee
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Three plus years related experience and/or combination of work experience and training in manufacturing environment. Machine shop experience a plus.
Three plus years experience with inventory control
Solid work ethic, reliable availability, and able to work independently
Excellent organization, time management, and effective communication skills (verbal and written)
Excellent problem-solving skills
Excellent data entry and computer skills - Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
Ability to learn and use ERP systems
