The Shuttle Driver transports residents of The Village of Hope to daily appointments and/or activities. The Village of Hope is a temporary housing program for homeless adults in Bucks County who have been diagnosed with both a mental health and substance abuse disorder.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Safely operates motor vehicle along prescribed route to take residents to and from daily appointments and/or activities.
  • Assist all passengers entering and exiting the shuttle vehicle at all times.
  • Maintains proper operating condition of the shuttle vehicle.
  • Maintains the interior and exterior vehicle to ensure cleanliness.

PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:

Sitting for up to twelve (12) hours per day, five (5) hours at a time; entering and exiting the shuttle vehicle up to 20 times per hour; assisting passengers entering and exiting the vehicle; vision as required to operate a motor vehicle; and hearing as required to operate a motor vehicle.

EDUCATION:

High school graduate or equivalent.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

Patient care experience preferred. Possess a good driving record and maintain a valid Driver's License.

WORK SCHEDULE:

Friday: 12:00 pm to 10:00 pm, with 1/2-hour break - 9.5 hours

Saturday: 10:00 am to 3:30 pm - 5.5 hours

Sunday: 9:00 am to 1:00 pm - 4 hours
