The Driver is responsible to assist Village of Hope residents to get to appointments, employment, school, and other meetings and obligations in the community.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Safely operates motor vehicle along prescribed route.

  • Assist all passengers entering and exiting the shuttle vehicle at all times.

  • Assists passengers to answer their questions about other information as required.

  • Maintains proper operating condition of the shuttle vehicle.

  • Maintains the interior and exterior vehicle to ensure cleanliness.

  • Monitors the parking lots and informs appropriate department of potential hazards.

PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:

Sitting for up to twelve (12) hours per day, five (5) hours at a time; entering and exiting the shuttle vehicle up to 20 times per hour; assisting passengers entering and exiting the vehicle; vision as required to operate a motor vehicle; and hearing as required to operate a motor vehicle.

EDUCATION:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Possess a good driving record and maintain a valid Pennsylvania or New Jersey Driver's License.
