Job description

St. Luke's is proud of the skills, experience and compassion of its employees. The employees of St. Luke's are our most valuable asset! Individually and together, our employees are dedicated to satisfying the mission of our organization which is an unwavering commitment to excellence as we care for the sick and injured; educate physicians, nurses and other health care providers; and improve access to care in the communities we serve, regardless of a patient's ability to pay for health care.

St. Luke's University Health Network is recruiting a board eligible or board certified, fellowship trained, hand surgeon for our hospital in Monroe, Pennsylvania. Join a growing orthopaedic department with 6 other highly productive hand surgeons. The area has a large market that is not adequately served by a hand surgeon, with significant opportunities to develop a strong and busy practice. Cases range from simpler hand cases to level 1 trauma at our network trauma hospitals. St. Luke's is a teaching network; there will be opportunities to work with our Orthopaedic residents and participate in research activities if interested. Monroe hospital is currently building additional space to accommodate the increased patient need with opportunities for significant OR volume. Come work in a supportive and collegial environment at a community hospital located in the Poconos with great opportunities for outdoor activities and is only a short drive from the Lehigh Valley.

In joining St. Luke's University Health Network you'll enjoy:

  • Highly competitive base salary with incentive plan
  • Strong support from our Primary Care Physicians for referrals
  • Sign on bonus and relocation assistance
  • State of the art facilities and offices
  • Well-established reputation in the area
  • Teaching, research, quality improvement and strategic development opportunities
