Job description

Our client in the pharmaceutical industry is seeking a Cost Analyst/Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate MUST have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently, as well as experience supporting Cost Accounting functions in a pharmaceutical environment and strong SAP experience.

Job Title: Cost Analyst II

Location: Swiftwater, PA

Pay Range: Up to $45/hour

What's the Job?

Perform standard to slightly complex cost accounting duties and maintain cost accounting processes and systems

Support implementation of new SAP system, to include converting all financial data to new system

Produce standard cost accounting reports (e.g. depreciation, labor, equipment reports) and prepare standard journal entries

Assist operations management in the completion of their budget inputs, review of spending, staffing, production and capital plans, and completion of the budget templates

Critical to relieve the site controller from their duties to better engage in corporate accounting projects as well assist the site controller in ad hoc queries in support of the corporate accounting projects

Responsible for closing and reporting activities for both the US and the Consolidated P&L on a monthly basis

What's Needed?

Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance related

5 years of industrial accounting, costing, and SAP experience

MUST HAVE Experience in the pharma industry

Strong knowledge of standard costing and various versions of SAP tools

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
