Unit Description:
Sodexo is currently seeking a Food Operations Manager 1 for WVU Medicine-Uniontown Hospital.

WVU Medicine- Uniontown Hospital is a 145 -bed acute care Community Hospital in Uniontown, Pennsylvania. Today, the 145-bed facility employs over 1,000 individuals and is utilized by more than 200 medical staff representing more than 30 medical specialties. In February 2024, WVU Medicine- Uniontown Hospital was named an Achievement Award Winner by The Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania (HAP) in recognition of the organization's efforts to engage a workforce around a common purpose: patient safety.

Responsibilities will include:

working with unit financial/budgets,

strategic planning,

HR functions,

training and development of both a management and hourly staff,

ensuring HACCP compliance,

direct client interaction and supervision of up to 40 employees.

The ideal candidate:

has a work history demonstrating strong leadership skills, as well as previous supervisory experience and the ability to work collaboratively;

has culinary production experience and a strong background in safety and sanitation compliance;

has the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service;

can demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed; and

can demonstrate working knowledge of Sodexo Food Management Systems (FMS) and The Market Connection (TMC) and is proficient in computer skills and report management experience.

Qualifications & Requirements:
Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
