We are currently seeking Special Education Teachers who are comfortable working with children with disabilities and in a team environment instructing students in a functional classroom. Develops and implements instructional programs for students with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and/or behavior disorders and students with Autism. This unique position is at Upper Darby School District with an option of ESY.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am - 4pm
Exentended School Year- Monday to Friday 8:15am to 12:15pm
Every day as a Special Education Teacher you will:
Ensure the safety of all students
Deliver education lessons in a small classroom setting
Implement IEP's and track education goals
Support and reinforce PBIS goals and objectives

BENEFIT ELIGIBILITY AFTER 30 DAYS OF EMPLOYMENT (1st day of the 1st pay period after 30 days).
Qualifications:
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Special Education OR other degree in education or human services required. ennsylvania Instructional I Certification and or eligible for emergency certification through PDE. Willingness to participate in ABA training and specifically Verbal Behavior training
EXPERIENCE: Working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and/or behavior disorders Preferred. Proficient computer skills, mastery of Microsoft Office Applications, experience with data collection/analyzing platforms (Radar, Pro-Filer, and/or other internal and external software applications pertinent to the position). Strong organizational skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Requires ability to work independently, prioritize, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and adhere to established guidelines.
