We are currently seeking candidates with bachelor's degrees who are interested in becoming Emergency Certified Teachers. As a Emergency Certified Teacher you must be comfortable working with children with disabilities and challenging behaviors proving classroom instruction and support. Emergency Certified Special Education Teachers are needed in both our 41 week and 52 week schools.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am - 4pm
52 week position: $58,604/yr (flat rate)Follows the school calendar for the entire school year
41 week position: $53,277/yr (flat rate) Follows the school calendar for 41 weeks
You have the option to opt in or out of working the extended school year (ESY) during the summer
Every day as an Emergency Certified Teacher you will
Ensure all students are safe in your classroom
Provide daily instruction that aligns with the needs of the students and curriculum standards
Redirect inappropriate behaviors and ensure the classroom is a positive learning environment
Implement PBIS strategies and reward positive behaviors
Work with other dedicated education professionals who share your passion for helping individuals in need and delivering a high quality of education.

BENEFIT ELIGIBILITY AFTER 30 DAYS OF EMPLOYMENT (1st day of the 30 days)
Devereux Pennsylvania Children's Services (DPACS) center serves children, adolescents and young adults with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral, emotional and psychiatric challenges and disorders. Located in West Chester and Malvern Pennsylvania, services provided include psychiatric residential treatment (PRTF), acute inpatient psychiatric hospital (AIP), assessment services, community-based mental health services, community-based employment training and social skills training, and approved private school educational services to male and female children and adolescents (6-21 years of age) with diagnoses of intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, concomitant psychiatric and behavioral challenges often associated with experiencing some level of trauma in their lives.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree. Emergency certification available.
EXPERIENCE: Special Education Teacher, Para Professional, 1:1, Teacher Assistant experience with an IDD/Autism/MH/BH population preferred
