Position: IT Systems Administrator
Security Clearance: U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) "Q" Clearance or DOD Equivalent (TS)
Contract: 12+ Months Location: Bettis Laboratory Site, West Mifflin, PA Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory Site, Niskayuna, NY Base Year with 4 Options Years: Base year period of performance (10/1/24 - 9/30/25) Request:
A skilled IT Systems Administrator with 3 years of experience in deploying, managing, and supporting Windows PC/Server and virtualization environments. Demonstrates a strong commitment to customer service and a proven ability to deliver technical solutions in critical IT infrastructure settings. Adept at prioritizing tasks and solving complex technical problems, ensuring the seamless operation of IT systems in secure and high-demand environments. Education:
• Bachelor's Degree in Related Field from Accredited College/University

• High School Diploma with X years of relevant experience Technical Skills:
• Operating Systems: Windows Server, Windows 10/11
• Virtualization: VMWare, Citrix, Hyper-V
• Enterprise Applications: Exchange, Skype, SharePoint, Tenable, O365
• Security: Vulnerability Management, Disk Encryption, Security Configuration Maintenance
• System Management: Group Policy, BIOS/UEFI Configuration, Computer Imaging
• Hardware: Personal Computers, Laptops, Tablets, Servers, Peripherals
• Software Packaging: Creation, Deployment, Troubleshooting, Patching
• Monitoring & Support: IT System Monitoring, Operational Support, Asset Management
• Endpoint Management: Deployment and Management of Endpoint Devices, Zero and Thin Clients Experience:
System Administrator
• Patching & Updates: Regularly patched and updated operating systems and software on PCs and servers to ensure compliance with the organization's vulnerability management policy.
• Group Policy Administration: Managed and configured Group Policy to enforce security settings based on government and vendor requirements.
• System Configuration: Configured and managed BIOS/UEFI settings and created/maintained computer images for physical and virtual machines.
• Enterprise Applications Support: Provided support for enterprise applications such as Exchange, Skype, SharePoint, and O365, ensuring optimal performance and user satisfaction.
• Virtualization Infrastructure Support: Supported virtual server and desktop infrastructures, managing zero and thin clients in Citrix and VMWare environments.
• Security Application Support: Implemented and maintained security applications, ensuring robust protection across IT-managed networks.
• Asset Management: Conducted asset management activities, including removing inactive devices, developing reports, and managing inventories. Key Competencies:
