Role Overview: As the Controller, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations and driving strategic initiatives for our client. This is a hands-on position where you will have the opportunity to lead a talented finance team and contribute to the company's continued success.

Key Responsibilities of the Controller:

  1. Manage all aspects of financial statements and reporting, including budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
  2. Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
  3. Applies accounting standards and principles (GAAP) to ensure proper entry of figures, covering transactions
    such as payroll, labor and overhead distribution. acquisition of assets, accounts payable/receivable,
    depreciation, amortization, reserves, write-offs, accruals, project accounting, adjustments, and corrections.
  4. Oversee month-end and year-end close processes.
  5. Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  6. Provide strategic financial guidance to senior leadership.
  7. Work closely with CFO & VP of Finance.
  8. Collaborate cross-functionally to optimize business processes and drive efficiency.
  9. Manage, mentor and develop accounting/finance team members to support their professional growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
  • CPA preferred
  • 5-8+years progressive accounting experience
  • Supervisory experience
  • Manufacturing industry experience required
  • Strong financial and accounting skills, including experience with audits, reporting, and financial analysis
  • Proficiency in financial software programs such as Microsoft Excel and various ERPs
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
