GVI, Inc., a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC and Federal Government Contractor industry leader, is seeking Mechanical Engineers to effectively and efficiently support our customer in Newport, RI. Responsibilities: Be familiar and proficient with SolidWorks and AutoCAD Design tooling and test fixtures and generate repair and test procedures based on sound engineering theories and research Analyze engineering problems, equipment failures and provide solutions either through re-design or upgrades If necessary generate Engineering Change Procedures (ECP), Departure From Specifications (DFS), Request for Problem Resolutions (RPRs) Act as the Subject Matter Expert in the facility Position requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's degree preferred) 7 - 10 years relevant engineering experience Prior Navy sytem experience desired but not required Excellent communication skills (verbal, written), and excellent customer service skill Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance. Active SECRET clearance holders preferred.
