Job description

MRC has an opening for a full time Security Specialist I position supporting the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport in the area of Physical Security. Duties include: Conduct physical and traditional (non-cyber)security assessments to assess classified labs, storage containers and spaces, computer workstations, and classified work areas to verify and report areas of compliance and noncompliance. Travel to NUWCDIVNPT detachments and offsite locations Provide assessments to the Government Inspection Lead noting areas of compliance and noncompliance verbally and in writing Candidates for this position will undergo an extensive vetting process by the government. This tasking requires a Top Secret security clearance. Job Requirements Candidates for this position will undergo an extensive vetting process by the government. This tasking ultimately requires a Top Secret security clearance, but a successful candidate can start employment with a Secret security clearance. Experience with Microsoft Office required. Candidates will require an ability to pay attention to details. Good verbal and written communication skills are required.
