Job description

Global Net Lease is a global asset manager with an emphasis on real estate investing with approximately $9 billion of assets under management is seeking Staff Accountant to join our Newport, Rhode Island office.

Position and Responsibilities

  • Month-end/year-end close experience including preparation and/or review of balance sheet and income statement reconciliations
  • Performing account analysis and reconciliation, including bank statements and intercompany general ledger accounts
  • Reviewing general ledger accounts and preparing and adjusting journal entries
  • Maintaining general ledger charts of accounts
  • Assisting with initial internal control evaluations
  • Posting monthly, quarterly and yearly accruals
  • Address request of both internal and external audit team
  • Maintain supporting documentation for assigned areas
  • Strive to identify and implement efficiencies
  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly, yearly recoveries reconciliations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience preferably with a mix of public and industry
  • Proficient Excel skills and strong familiarity
  • MRI /AVID/FAS experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and overtime as needed
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Real Estate experience and property accounting experience preferred but not required
  • Experience in lease administration and Straight Line Rent preferred but not required
  • Work done on legacy RTL properties and multi-tenant preferred but not required

Compensation

Compensation will be commensurate with experience and capabilities. We offer structures that include base and bonus, as well as a full benefits package.


Five days in office.
8:30am to 5:30pm
