Job description

The successful candidate will support the development, integration, and execution of the statewide compensation review project.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 3 years related experience

    Skills Required:

  • Intermediate/advanced excel experience/knowledge

  • Excellent communication skills; written and verbal

  • Administrative experience i.e. business acumen, professional demeanor, detail oriented, independent initiative to conduct research/leverage resources

  • Experience with Workday (Preferred)

    Project Objectives:

  • Better enable the ability to benchmark pay to the external market

  • Ensure robust career progression opportunities, both within and across Job Families

  • Put parameters around-and control the proliferation of-job titles

  • Reap the most value from the organization's HR information management system, especially through reporting capabilities

    Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the reorganization of our classifications for final approval through the Public Hearing process

  • Support the employee position reclassification process by conducting analytical reviews of employee requests for changes in classification

  • Perform compensation studies in response to Public Hearing agency proposals

  • Conduct research on other states' compensation studies

  • Gather compensation data from various sources such as trade organizations as well as federal and state wage and compensation sources
