As a Scrum Master we blend deep Scrum expertise with a passion for mentoring, coaching, and continual improvement. As part of a highly collaborative squad we advise, mentor, and coach agile values, practices, and processes to accelerate squad value delivery. In partnership with the squad leader, we will maintain a product backlog, help remove impediments, and actively facilitate agile events including the daily scrum, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint review, and retrospectives. We have responsibility to lead release management coordination, participate in scaling events, and planning activities as we manage interdependencies across squads and product areas. We will examine and drive team performance through metrics and data-driven insights. We embrace a continuous improvement mindset to fully realize the benefits of working in an agile operating model. This opportunity is for a Scrum Master to serve two established squads in an emerging structure within our IWMS Business Unit, Ops Experience and Platform Access Product Area.
The ideal candidate for this product area and its squads will operate in a scaled structure as a leader who serves highly visible initiatives involving an online trading platform.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) credential (or, similar Scrum credential) with 3-5 years of Scrum Master experience operating as a leader who serves team(s) and can actively scale across partnering teams in a scrum framework.
- Strong understanding of and experience with Agile practices, processes, and artifacts.
- Experience and familiarity using tools including Jira, Jira Align, Miro (or similar), Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom.
- Lead the impediment resolution process.
- Partner with Squad Lead, team members to identify and manage dependencies.
- Brokerage and Technology background preferred, but not required.
- Familiarity with managing different methods/frameworks for organizing work via Kanban and/or Scrum.
- Excellent communication and people skills; can rapidly build trust and positively influence others at all levels of the organization.
- Proven change agent capable of coaching agile practices to teams and individuals across distinct functions and experiences as they work through new and unfamiliar situations.
- An effective, proven facilitator; Able to help the team brainstorm and generate solutions to overcome obstacles and innovate.
- An intellectual curiosity, passion for developing skills, modeling a culture of continuous learning, mentoring, and coaching.
- This role has an on-call expectation one 7 day week each quarter (Wednesday to Wednesday) where 24/7 incident support is required (support team on production issues and any hotfixes needed to ensure incident gets assigned and closed out when completed.) This expectation varies by product area.

We support cross-functional squads focusing on end-to-end development of an web-based trading application. Our Scrum Masters engage with all team members, including the Squad Leader, to reinforce an agile approach and principles into the daily work.
