Adelphi is seeking Physical Therapists to provide Physical Therapy Services for a school district located in Rhode Island. The Physical Therapist will provide appropriate physical therapy services to students of the schools through physical therapy evaluations, observations and consultations. RIDOH Physical Therapist license. National Board for Certification in Physical Therapy. Experience in a school setting is preferred. Responsibilities: Assess referred students for special education through appropriate testing and diagnostic practice. Interpret testing results and implications to school staff, parents and students as needed. Write physical therapy reports and complete eligibility reports. Confer with teachers and parents through conducting classroom observations and provide feedback. Participate in student support meetings, and assist in collaborative problem-solving. Contribute to the development of Individualized Education Plans (IEP) Establish and maintain a professional and positive working relationship with students, parents, staff and the general public. Other duties assigned by the Director of Special Services.
