PRIMARY DUTIES

Other duties may be assigned, including but not limited to housekeeping, cross training and operator level maintenance in support of equipment operation. Responsibilities also include attention to safety according to specific training and safety rules.

1. Work from the roll mill schedule and anticipate changeovers in advance. Setup process includes stands, guideboxes, exit guides, rolls, guide cones, twister box, static guides, and loopers.

2. Changing rolls in the stands involves taking caps off, pumping couplings off, replacing bearings if necessary, taking stands apart, and replacing rollers.

3. Pull routine maintenance on the roll mill production equipment, including oil, grease, unclogging water lines.

4. Dressing of spare rollers and roller guides in order to use them as long as possible. Spray new and redressed rollers so they grab on first use.

5. Perform some maintenance and repairs on roll mill equipment and assist maintenance technicians with more complicated repairs.

6. Assist roll mill technicians during changeover if the changeover is especially difficult or complicated in order to minimize downtime.

7. Other duties may be assigned, including but not limited to housekeeping, cross training and operator level maintenance in support of equipment operation.

REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • O ne to two years of on-the-job experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and follow instructions.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment screening that includes a background check, physical including drug and alcohol screening.
