The Shipping/Receiving job is an entry-level position responsible for loading and unloading all incoming and or outgoing product. They must carefully complete necessary paperwork for each load as required. Ensure cooler, dry storage and all trailers and equipment are kept clean, working properly and organized.
Responsibilities:
Ensure pallets are intact and in good condition prior to loading or unloading.
Properly and efficiently, load or unload products.
Adhere to strict USDA guidelines, SQF, safety, biosecurity and food defense programs.
Clean and organize cooler and dry storage using FIFO method daily.
Monitor fuel levels and temperature of storage trailers.
Safely move trailers around the yard and ability to reverse trailers into loading docks.
Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance on equipment for enhanced reliability.
Safely operate equipment, including pallet jacks, pallet wrappers, forklifts and yard truck.
Address and report issues to supervisors immediately.
Prioritize safety, report hazards and maintain cleanliness.
Assist in promoting teamwork by effective communication.
Fulfill additional tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Previous Shipping and Receiving experience preferred.
Basic math and reasoning skills.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Forklift training and certification is preferred, but if not possessed, must be attained following employment.
Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
Availability for night shifts, weekends and holidays when applicable.
Comfort working in a fast-paced setting.

Salary Range:
USD $14.00 - USD $15.00 /Hr.
