APS-3: Physical Security and Information System Supervisor Belong, Connect, Grow, with KBR! Program Summary KBR maintains and manages Army prepositioned stocks at the Army Field Support Battalion - Charleston (AFSBn-CHS) land site and aboard ships to include all logistics and maintenance operations. The KBR APS-3 Program is managed and executed at Goose Creek in support of the Army's power projection doctrine and resources. The contract provides maintenance of APS-3 stocks (Class II, IIIP, IV, VII, IX) to ensure that unit sets stored aboard marine vessels are configured and maintained at optimal readiness. KBR provides limited maintenance and supply support aboard ship to ensure that equipment sets are maintained in a ready condition for emergency download and issue to operating units at the direction of the US Army. KBR also provides maintenance services and logistical support for other Army programs, IAW individual scope of work contract requirements. Job Summary The Physical Security and Information System Supervisor oversees two teams. The first team is the Security section that consists of personnel security, physical security, and gate guards. The second team is the Management Information Systems (MIS) section. The Security and Information Supervisor reports to the Business Manager. Leadership and organizational experience are paramount. Security experience is highly desired, particularly experience in a DOD/military environment. IT experience is a plus. Roles and Responsibilities Lead the Personnel Security section supporting new hire in-processing, tracking of security clearance, and CAC support (Common Access Cards; ID cards). Issue, renew, and verify CACs.
Lead the Physical Security employee conducting building checks, key control for facilities, tracking of serialized seals/locks, and conducting investigations into lost or damaged equipment. The worksite consists of approximately 30 buildings.
Lead Gate Guards manning the entrance gate. Gate Guards conduct 100% ID checks for all personnel entering the site. Gate Guards are not armed. The gate is normally manned during normal working hours; the gate is not manned overnight or during weekends. The worksite's entrance gate is an inner gate; the outer gate is manned by Joint Base Charleston Security.
Lead the Management Information Systems (MIS) section. MIS provides the first tier of information systems support to a network of 300+ computers and other assets. The second and third tier of support are provided by other organizations.
Lead MIS team providing database development and maintenance.
Represent KBR to the customer (US Government) to plan and report Security and Information activities. Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications) Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) Must obtain and maintain local base access. Must possess a valid State Driver's License. Must be capable of getting a Secret security clearance. Must have a minimum of 10 years of related job experience.
Must have a bachelor's degree. Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand - between 2 to 3 hours per day.
Must be able to walk - between 4 to 5 hours per day.
Must be able to Lift - up to 35 lbs. periodically.
Must be able to squat, knell, bend, reach and climb periodically.
Must be able to work outside and inside in non-climate-controlled environments. Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications) Leadership experience is of primary importance.
Organizational skills. Able to track, prioritize, and manage completion of multiple tasks. The ability to communicate and coordinate with supported sections and departments.
Experience supporting a DOD/military customer or experience serving in the military is a plus.
Professional behavior and appearance; strong oral and written communication skills; reliable.
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
Knowledge of DOD Arms, Ammunition, and Explosives (AA&E) regulations is a plus. The APS-3 daily schedule is a 4-day workweek with the potential for overtime during high-demand missions.
The APS-3 standard workweek schedule is from 6:30 am - 5:00 pm Monday-Thursday with possible overtime of up to 8 hours (as the mission demands).
The APS-3 workforce receives 11 Federal Holidays per year in addition to paid time off.
