Job description

Network Documentation Specialist/QA Support (SME II) North Charleston, SC MANDEX currently has a need for a Network Documentation Specialist/QA Support role to join our MHS team in Charleston, SC. This position demands performance that is both detail-oriented and time-critical. RESPONSIBILITES INCLUDE: - Support efforts in the area of IT Infrastructure LAN/WLAN survey, design, and installation.
- Assist with the documentation of network surveys, designs, and integrations.
- Review LAN and WLAN network engineering designs for equipment compatibility and to validate requirements and considerations based on established technical requirements and guidance.
- Utilize Excel datasheets, pictures, hand drawings, network configuration files and other supporting documentation to create, modify, and/or review site design and closeout packages.
- Attend meetings in support of the MHS engineers. EXPERIENCE: - Familiarity with network design, planning, and analysis.
- Familiarity with networking terminology, equipment, fiber types and connectors.
- Ability to read and understand switch configuration files from at least one of the following network equipment manufacturers: Cisco, Juniper, Ruckus (Formerly Brocade), or HPE (Aruba).
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Visio.
- Must have strong communication skills and be able to interface with a variety of individuals.
- Must be able to work with a team and individually.
- Must be well organized, able to perform under pressure, and multi-task. EDUCATION: - High School diploma or GED.
- Technical training in networking or demonstrated related experience. Security Level: - This position requires favorable background check and drug screening results and may require the ability to receive and maintain a government security clearance (Secret).
