Client Details

Our client is a reputable, established Top 150 ENR GC that has been in the Carolinas for 50+ years. They specialize in ground-up commercial construction projects within a 4 hour radius of Greenville, SC. These projects are K-12, Higher Education, Municipal, and Healthcare primarily.

The group is seeking an Assistant Project Manager with experience in their core markets to join their team with experience in commercial, K-12, detention centers, healthcare, and higher education projects. They will also consider a Project Engineer looking for the next step in their career. They are looking for someone who is a long term fit and will become a future leader in the organization!

Description

The Assistant Project Manager will be responsible for:

  • Coordinate and managing all necessary project resources from start to finish on time and within budget in a highly collaborative environment.
  • Manages personnel development.
  • Communicate job expectations, enforce policies & procedures, and manage & coach employees.
  • Conduct regular meetings with the team to ensure work is on schedule, within budget and complies with technical, safety and legal requirements.
  • Must be a strategic problem solver who can add value to our customer's projects.
  • May work with pre-construction team in development of project
  • Manage budget and financial reporting, interpret and analyze reports to ensure adherence to project budget.

Profile

The successful Assistant Project Manager will have the following experience:

  • 2+ years of construction experience with a general contractor is required
  • 4+ years of construction experience with a general contractor is preferred
  • Experience working on ground-up commercial, education, healthcare, and detention center projects preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or relevant degree preferred
  • Applicable Project Management Software experience preferred
  • Developed thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project success
  • Maintains good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with anyone from clients to subcontractors
  • Must be a business-oriented person and act professionally when representing the employer at any level
  • Local to Greenville preferred, though relocators will be considered

Job Offer

The successful Assistant Project Manager will receive:

  • Base salary contingent on experience, ranging roughly $70,000-90,000
  • Discretionary bonuses
  • Vehicle Allowance of $600-$700/mo
  • Cell and laptop offered
  • PTO and sick days
