Position Overview:

The Structural Fabrication Supervisor will play an essential role in overseeing and coordinating the activities of workers involved in the fabrication and assembly of structural products. This role requires expertise in welding, blueprint reading, and metal properties, paired with strong leadership abilities. As the company continues to expand, this position offers significant growth potential for individuals passionate about fabrication and seeking to advance their careers in a dynamic environment. Candidates can choose to work either 1st or 2nd shift, based on availability.

Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate the activities of workers engaged in the fabrication and assembly of structural products.

Analyze work orders and blueprints to determine materials, operations, and sequence of operations required.

Requisition materials and ensure efficient use to meet production goals.

Inspect work in progress and finished products to ensure they meet the highest quality standards.

Perform welding tasks using arc, gas-shielded arc, submerged arc, or gas welding equipment.

Assemble parts by bolting and perform repairs by dismantling, reshaping, and reassembling parts.

Operate shop cranes, forklifts, and other equipment as needed to support production.

Use sound judgment in managing employee productivity, attendance, and other issues, fostering a positive work environment.

Follow and enforce company policies and quality assurance procedures.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

5+ years of experience in structural fabrication or a related field.

Advanced welding capabilities, with qualifications in FCAW, GMAW, and SMAW.

Advanced blueprint reading and comprehension skills.

Strong leadership and communication abilities.

Ability to operate shop cranes and forklifts.

Must be able to lift 75 pounds with assistance and push/pull 50 pounds.

Availability to work either 1st or 2nd shift, with the ability to work overtime as required.
