Job description

Position Overview:

TalentBridge is seeking an experienced and dynamic Production Manager to join our client's manufacturing team. This leadership role is critical to driving operational excellence, improving production processes, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality products on time. The ideal candidate will have a strong managerial background, proven experience in strategic planning, and a history of implementing effective processes and procedures that improve productivity, efficiency, and overall performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, mentor, and motivate the production team to meet or exceed production goals.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and accountability.

Manage day-to-day operations to ensure the production schedule is met while maintaining product quality standards.

Develop and implement long-term production strategies aligned with company objectives.

Identify and address operational bottlenecks, and recommend and implement process improvements to optimize efficiency.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, quality control, supply chain, etc.) to improve overall production performance.

Design, develop, and implement new production processes and procedures that increase efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure the highest quality standards.

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and production metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.

Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements and implement best practices in workplace safety.

Manage production budgets, control costs, and optimize resource allocation (manpower, materials, and machinery) to meet production targets within budget.

Lead employee training and development programs to enhance skills and performance within the production team.

Promote a collaborative and inclusive working environment that encourages employee engagement and innovation.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, engineering, or a related field (preferred); equivalent experience will be considered.

5+ years of experience in a production or manufacturing management role.

Demonstrated success in developing and implementing production strategies and improving operational performance.

Strong leadership, team-building, and conflict-resolution skills.

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Exceptional problem-solving skills and a data-driven approach to decision-making.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.

Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is a plus.
