Requisition Type: Open Position Title: Global Force Management (GFM) Operations Plans Strategic Support United States Air Force Central Command (USAFCENT) is the Air Force Service Component of United States Central Command (USCENTCOM), a joint Department of Defense combatant command responsible for U.S. security interests in 27 nations that stretch from the Horn of Africa through the Persian Gulf region, into Central Asia. This position supports USAFCENT A3 office. Location: Shaw AFB, SC Security Clearance Level: Secret Duties and Responsibilities Assist with the management of the staffing process for HAF, ACC, Joint Staff and USCENTCOM GFM related taskings. Provide administrative review of 9AFAFCENT RFF and REDEPORDs prior to submission to the Combined Force Air Component Commander. Assist deployed units in crafting GFM products. Interface with USAF Commands, HAF, and USCENTCOM to ensure 9AFAFCENT equities are implemented into the GFMAP. Support all aspects of GFM operations planning for 9AF AFCENT to include forecasting 9AFAFCENT requirements and provide inputs to joint and combined manning requests. Assist in coordinating development of CJCS directed deliberate plans during steady state operations. Assist in effective deployment of response forces to meet emergent contingencies. Provide guidance to the 9AFAFCENT FAMs and provide assistance to define requirements in the USAF deployment system. Provide operational knowledge and use of FRED and JCRM GFM tools sets. Assist 9AFAFCENT's rated FAM and assist 9AF AFCENT deployed staffs. Responsible for QC and submission of 9AFAFCENT database CRs. Assist the set up and management of 9AF AFCENT led GFM management meetings and provide inputs to HHQ GFM related conferences. Train and provide continuity to newly assigned action officers to the Current Operations division and provide GFM overview briefings to deployers. Review current and future Air Force instructions and joint publications and make recommendations for improvement as well as incorporation into FAM training programs. Provide assistance to all 9AFAFCENT Functional Area Managers (FAM) ensuring requirements are effectively identified in the Joint Operations Planning and Execution System (JOPES) and Deliberate Crisis and Actions Planning Execution System (DCAPES) databases using Force Requirements Enhanced Database (FRED) and Joint Capabilities Requirements Manager (JCRM) applications to ensure requirements are ordered in the Global Force Management Allocation Plan (GFMAP) and sourced in DCAPES. Provide analysis to the OFAMO on the status of sourcing and provide guidance to the FAMs on corrective actions. Knowledge and Qualifications Minimum of one year experience in the use of Microsoft Office applications/e-mail systems or the equivalent. Minimum of three years' experience in a staff organization working with GFM functions and databases.
