Job Title: Diesel Mechanic (Specializing in Pickups)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Company Overview: Our client is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic with experience in maintaining and repairing pickups.

Job Summary: The Diesel Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and rebuilding diesel engines. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with diesel pickup engines.


  • Safety & Compliance:

    • Adhere to all safety protocols, including wearing proper PPE and following procedures for hazardous materials handling.
    • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and ensure all work is performed in compliance with OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.


Qualifications:


  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic.
  • Certifications: ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification in diesel mechanics preferred but not required.
  • Skills:

    • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with hydraulic systems, diesel engines, electrical systems, and brake repairs.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment.

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Vocational or technical training in diesel mechanics or heavy equipment repair is preferred.

Physical Requirements:


  • Ability to lift 50 lbs or more, perform physical tasks including standing, kneeling, and working in confined spaces for extended periods.
  • Must be able to work in outdoor conditions and various weather environments.
