Job Summary: Under the supervision of an RN, performs basic patient care activities Job Duties: Performs basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN, including monitoring vital signs and recording intake and output. Assists patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, grooming, eating, and ambulation. Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff. Assists with keeping patient rooms and common areas stocked, clean and orderly. Handle with Care participation annually or CPI participation every 2 years. Job Requirements: Minimum Education High school diploma or equivalent required Required Skills Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. American Heart Association or American Red Cross Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS-AHA) required upon hire or must be obtained within 90 days of employment. License: Current TN NA licensure or Current MA certification/licensure Minimum Work Experience Six months experience as a nurse technician; if no experience, job training will be provided.
