Job description
Our client, A Global Leader In The Automotive Industry, is seeking an Infotainment Validation Engineer to join their team in Chattanooga, TN! This is an exciting opportunity to work on some of the largest Automotive brands in the world!
HYBRID SCHEDULE
As the Electrical Engineering Analyst, you will be responsible for testing NAR-specific radio/media/connectivity functions within the market. Testing will consist of static bench and dynamic road tests as well as all documentation, failure analysis, and tracking with the suppliers and responsible colleagues in Wolfsburg, Germany.
This role cannot support H1B or C2C candidates
Responsibilities
o Infotainment Testing and Reporting - (60%)
Executes the Infotainment / Connectivity testing for vehicle infotainment systems.
Reports and communicates results and critical issues to key project partners.
o Functional Error Resolution - (20%)
Provides documentation (failure report, tracing) on infotainment communication errors found during static and dynamic evaluation.
Uploads the documentation to the central database and follows up directly with responsible engineers for resolution.
o Test Equipment Management - (20%)
Ensure the test benches and vehicles are at the correct version levels.
Define and implement changes with the team as required.
Required Skills & Experience
o Bachelors Degree in Related Field
o 1-3 years of related engineering experience
o Experience with automotive infotainment control modules
o Experience testing infotainment technology and the interaction with in-vehicle systems
o Understanding of vehicle communication networks and the ability to capture communication traces.
o Experience testing/releasing full vehicle electrical systems (module and functional testing)
o Ability to trouble-shoot communication breakdowns within the network by analyzing the network communication.
o German language skills are a huge plus but not required.
