Job description

Job Overview

As the EMC Laboratory Supervisor, you will lead the EMC engineering team, overseeing testing services, research, and daily lab operations. You will manage the development of test plans, troubleshooting, result analysis, and ensure compliance with our Quality Assurance (QA) program. You'll also collaborate closely with other departments, including software development, to enhance testing and reporting capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the EMC laboratory.
  • Supervise and coordinate lab activities, including scheduling and budgeting.
  • Collaborate with the contracts department for project estimates.
  • Develop and approve EMC test plans and procedures.
  • Lead EMC qualification testing for nuclear power plant equipment.
  • Troubleshoot EMI/RFI issues and provide solutions for emissions and immunity failures.
  • Analyze test results and provide technical justifications.
  • Interface with clients to provide technical consultation and project updates.
  • Collaborate with software developers to improve EMC testing and reporting tools.
  • Oversee the calibration of EMC test equipment.
  • Identify and lead research and development (R&D) initiatives.
  • Conduct technical training for internal teams and industry professionals.
  • Ensure the lab's compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 standards and maintain A2LA accreditation.
  • Occasionally travel to national and international client sites for field service testing.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant field.
  • At least 3 years of management experience in technical services or lab environments.
  • Expertise in MIL-STD-461 and/or IEC 61000 series emissions and immunity testing.
  • Proficiency with spectrum analyzers, EMI receivers, oscilloscopes, RF amplifiers, and vector network analyzers.
  • Strong understanding of EMC equipment calibration and measurement uncertainty.
