Summary This position is that of the Drug Demand Reduction Program Outreach Coordinator (DDRPOC) located in the Drug Education for Youth Program Office, Navy Personnel Command, Millington. Duties You will research and write briefs, presentations, point papers and other written documents to support or explain objectives of Navy's Alcohol and Drug Misuse Programs. You will conduct seminar breakout sessions, training sessions, training conferences, or make presentations to all levels of Navy personnel about ADMITS, IFTDTL, WEBDTP/DTPLITE and Navy alcohol and drug misuse prevention program. You will conduct briefings to recommend substance abuse program improvements, research and recommend evidenced-based resources needed to support policies and procedures. You will develop solutions and responses for information and statistics from senior officers, leaders, and commands in support of the drug program. You will assist in monitoring compliance with laws, rules, and regulations related to provisions of random drug testing and related services. You will provide or deliver education and training on substance misuse systems and programs to military and civilian community as required. You will forecast program requirements including budget, prepare reports, and justifications. You will develop plans, objectives, and milestones for various projects, considering such factors as internal and external responsibilities and resources for project implementation and completion. This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Developing solutions to enhance personnel, command, and Fleet readiness in relation to a Drug and Alcohol Prevention Program; 2) Conducting briefings to promote varied ideas and issues (to include sensitive or controversial topics) before a wide range of audiences in an effective, articulate, clear, and convincing manner; 3) Providing education and training to military and civilian community on substance misuse systems and programs; and 4) Forecasting program requirements of a Drug and Alcohol Prevention Program that includes funding for drug education and prevention.
