Employment Type: Contract/Hybrid

Pay rate: $19-$23/hr. DOE


Summary:

  • Performs a variety of administrative functions. Schedules appointments, gives information to callers, and takes dictation. Composes memos, transcribes notes, and researches and creates presentations. Generates reports, handles multiple projects, and prepares and monitors invoices and expense reports. May assist with compiling and developing the annual budget. Requires a high school diploma with at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May direct and lead the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.

Responsibilities include:

  • Monitor, verify, and present data daily
  • Overcome transportation disruptions and other barriers in real time
  • Identify transportation defect root causes

ESS

  • Maintain Daily logs on assigned shippers
  • Lead weekly calls with assigned shippers
  • Lead Daily Business Review Stand up calls spacer

Case Management Team

  • Monitor and resolve shipper generated cases
  • Resolve dwelling freight and freight backlogs at the vendor
  • Maintain communications with shippers, carriers, and key stakeholders regarding movement of freight

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2 years of Logistics, Supply Chain or Client experience
  • Understanding of basic data analytical skills
  • Experience writing documents on topics such as process improvement proposals.
  • Entry level knowledge of MS Excel; familiarity with Excel spreadsheets and ability to navigate and interpret data
  • Interpersonal and customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Operations, Logistics or Supply Chain
  • Expertise in MS Access, Excel, and SQL
  • Proficiency in Lean and Six Sigma
  • Experience in manufacturing, transportation, customer service, and/or distribution environments
  • Data management & data quality control experience with experience pulling and analyzing large sets of data
  • Experience using data to drive root cause analysis and process improvement recommendations

Top 3 must-have hard skills:

  • Expertise in MS Access, Excel, and SQL
  • Be able to effectively communicate with customers
  • Customer first mindset
