Job Details

Job Responsibilities
Drive insightful, data-driven analyses to yield key insights and make recommendations
Partner with business unit leadership to establish reasonable financial targets and ensure accountability towards achievement of those financial targets
Deliver timely, accurate and effective analyses and reporting of financial and operational performance metrics to management for decision making purposes
Prepare monthly reporting packages for presentation to senior leadership to drive continual improvement in the monthly close process and budget and forecasting processes
Actively participate in senior leadership meetings, preparing and presenting relevant documents, reports and plans in a timely manner
Assist senior leadership in financial models and analysis to support strategic partnerships and initiatives
Develop and implement plans/projects to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness within areas of oversight
Establish and monitor performance metrics to ensure that transactions are processed accurately and efficiently, and reporting meets stakeholder needs
Work on a variety of company wide initiatives on the company's current and future profitability
Responsible for day-to-day management, strategic leadership and routine problem solving
Evaluate capital expenditures in order to support cash management
Provide robust ROI computations for proposed projects to allow us to make informed investment decisions
Direct management of Accounting and Finance team, including the Assistant Director of Finance
Direct management of in-house bookkeeper and financial processes
Understand overall company balance sheet, profit and loss reporting and operating expenses
Present monthly financial reports that provide short- and long-range financial reporting
Documentation, contribution and maintenance of the Finance Department Operations Manual
Liaison with the Operations team for pricing, accounts payable and trip operating budgets
Support company vision
o Help develop and execute short-term and long-term plans
o Develop and articulate our brand strategy to support the vision
Hiring and development of staff and succession planning
Communicate goals, objectives, accountabilities, priorities, and authority parameters to assigned staff
Develop leaders through mentoring and coaching of direct reports
Inspire, lead, mentor, measure and appraise the finance team to ensure stellar capabilities at all levels as well as driving a culture of financial accuracy and accountability
High integrity, including maintenance of confidential information
Design and implement business growth strategies and operational efficiencies
Must be able to exercise good judgment and positively influence others in a team environment, including handling confrontations with poise and efficiency
Reinforce and champion our distinct corporate culture

Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting.
6+ years of relevant experience in Accounting or Financial Analysis
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong project management skills and an ability to function independently and effectively in a self-directed environment
Strong financial background, with full understanding and experience with financial models and analyses
Highly organized, detail-oriented, a strong work ethic and demonstrated teamwork skills.
Ambitious, intellectually curious, self-starter
Strong Excel skills required
Experience with QuickBooks Online
Capable of performing detailed financial analyses including financial modeling, profitability analysis, monitoring business issues and impact to bottom line
