Your Key Responsibilities:

As an HVAC/Ductwork Estimator, you will be crucial in ensuring accurate and efficient project assessments, with a focus on:


  • Project Assessment: Carefully analyzing project requirements, collaborating with sales teams and Project Managers, and delivering precise estimates for HVAC ductwork projects, including time and cost considerations.
  • Project Diversity: Applying your expertise to a variety of project types, particularly within Commercial and Industrial settings, showcasing your adaptability in HVAC estimating.
  • Detailed Estimation: Crafting thorough project cost estimates using QuoteSoft or similar software, reviewing project plans and specifications, researching materials, interpreting blueprints, evaluating bids, and creating compelling proposals.
  • Project Management Collaboration: Supporting Project Managers in overseeing projects of varying complexities with accuracy and detail in your estimates.
  • Industry Awareness: Staying updated on the latest industry trends and innovations to ensure competitive and up-to-date project estimates.
  • Effective Communication: Collaborating seamlessly with customers, sales teams, and internal departments to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Understanding energy codes and specifications impacting ductwork projects and ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations.
  • Documentation: Maintaining well-organized records of all completed estimates in an accessible repository.

Your Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you should have:


  • 5 Years of HVAC/Ductwork Estimating Experience: A strong foundation in ductwork estimating, ideally with experience using QuoteSoft.
  • Diverse Project Portfolio: Experience with a range of project types, particularly in Commercial and Industrial sectors, to demonstrate adaptability.
  • Estimation Expertise: Proficiency in estimating HVAC ductwork project costs, using QuoteSoft or similar tools, crafting cost estimates, reviewing plans and specifications, researching materials, reading blueprints, evaluating bids, and preparing proposals.
  • Industry Awareness: Keeping up-to-date with current industry trends to remain competitive.
  • Effective Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills for seamless collaboration.
  • Code and Specification Knowledge: Familiarity with energy codes and project specifications, particularly related to ductwork.
  • Organizational Skills: Maintaining well-organized records of completed estimates.
