Job description

ASRC Federal is seeking an experienced Network Engineer in support of a new government program. This program will support and augment ongoing efforts to achieve, maintain , continuously improve, and integrate ZT operational capabilities and solutions across ZT pillars. The purpose of this pro gram is to provide enhanced capabilities and integration of operational capabilities and services across ZT pillars to accelerate ZT maturity beyond its current rate, and achieve and maintain White House, OMB , and DHS ZT maturity goals over the next two years . The Network Engineer s upports Information Assurance and Cybersecurity efforts under ASRC Federal's Zero Trust contract . You will support the identification and assessment of the ZT maturity of the network segmentation, network traffic management, traffic encryption, and network resilience. You will also provide SME level network support to the CI/CD pipeline efforts. This position is REMOTE. Responsibilities: Assist s in the requirement analysis, engineering design, and solution development of network infrastructure. Evaluates, designs, documents, installs, implements, tests, performs problem isolation and resolution, monitors, tunes, and sets standards. Engage with external teams to design, build, and modernize their development and testing environments to accelerate their Zero Trust maturity . Perform independent assessment s against the CISA ZT Maturity model for the Network pillar. Provide ongoing monitoring and reporting, meeting support, communications and document support, information sharing, and cross-program coordination. Holidays: 11 paid holidays. Must be a US Citizen able to obtain an agency-specific suitability / public trust clearance prior to starting . Experience supporting a Federal Government Agency, either civilian or DOD. Bachelor's in Computer Science or a related field and 8 + years ofexperience. Experience in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting distributed systems in a Cloud environment. SME level knowledge on Cisco / Juniper network equipment Experience in conduct ing analysis, testing, and providing recommendations in network communications, including LAN/MAN/WAN systems. Cloud experience specifically, AWS, Google, or Azure. Experience developing and automating networking products, technologies, software, and protocols. Excellent communication skills with a systematic, problem-solving work style. Desired Skills and Qualifications: CCNA (CCNP preferred). CompTIA Security+ and CompTIA Network+. Experience supporting a software development project using CI/CD pipelines. Zscaler, Avaya, SentinelOne, Splunk, Tenable, Cloud Strike, Checkmarx.
