Job description
USmax Corporation is seeking an experienced Contractor Program Manager to lead a key project under the Oak Ridge Office of Environmental Management (OREM). The Program Manager will serve as the primary point of contact between the contractor and the government's Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), ensuring all work under the task order is executed effectively and in compliance with DOE requirements. This position is contingent upon contract award. Duties and Responsibilities: Act as the central point of contact between the Contractor and the DOE, responsible for overall task order execution and communication with the COR. Develop and manage work and staffing plans for all Performance Work Statement (PWS) areas. Oversee the technical and administrative performance of all work, ensuring compliance with DOE standards and milestones. Prepare and deliver monthly status reports to the COR, providing clear updates on task order progress and any issues encountered. Ensure the effective integration and performance of subcontractors, if applicable. Serve as the local, on-site authority for the project, supervising staff and ensuring adherence to all contract requirements. Lead and coordinate project activities across multiple sites, ensuring effective communication and timely resolution of issues. Provide strategic leadership for program execution, risk management, and technical direction. Maintain a permanent duty station within commuting distance of Oak Ridge, TN. Required Qualifications: Demonstrated experience overseeing large, complex government contracts. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to manage a diverse, multi-disciplinary team. Required Experience: Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, including management of DOE business systems. Minimum of 5 years of experience managing government contracts, with a solid understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). Training in Project/Program Management. Preferred Experience: Certification in Project/Program Management (e.g., PMP). Required Education: Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field. Security Clearance Requirements: None Work Location / Schedule: The Program Manager is expected to be based within commuting distance of Oak Ridge, TN, and must be available to be on-site as required to oversee project execution. Telework flexibility is available, with regular in-person presence required for specific duties. Travel Requirements: Occasional travel may be required.
