Description:

The candidate will train on their respective shift which consists of four (4) 10 hour days M-T with the possibility of OT on Fri -Sun.

Qualifications/Basic Position Requirements: (education, experience, licenses, etc.)

Machinist apprentice or mechanical QC experience required.

Basic Machining skills required

3-5 years' experience in the use of dial indicators, calipers and other machine measuring tools.

Must be able to read detailed mechanical drawings.

Basic computer operational skills required.

Attention to documentation detail is a necessity.

Essential functions: (general purpose and job responsibilities)

Operate manual and/or computer-controlled saws (ID, wire, C&C) to cut LSO crystal material from boules and/or slabs.

Install rollers as needed

Service and maintenance of all saws.

Evaluate and log sawing failure rates for trend analysis

Additional duties include bonding material to be cut.
