POSITION SUMMARY: A Sleep Technician performs comprehensive sleep testing and analysis, and associated interventions under the general supervision of a sleep technologist and/or the medical director or designee. A sleep technician can provide supervision of a sleep trainee. Supports an organizational culture for Service Excellence and practices the Service Excellence Standards to all customer groups.

Qualifications
EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE AND LICENSES/REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:
- Previous medical training and /or experience.
- A Registered Respiratory Therapist license, Nursing license, Paramedic or EMT license preferred.
- Previous experience in field for a minimum of 2-3 years or can be trained in the job.
- Complete all A Step modules along with 1638 clinical hours within 24 months.
- Ability to read, write and converse in English
- Ability to communicate with patients, families, staff, physicians, support agencies, vendors and others
- Ability to remain calm and composed under stress
- Ability to comprehend and follow instructions
- Bending, lifting (25 lbs minimum), grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing and pulling, squatting, prolonged standing and/or sitting, squatting
- Quantitative/mathematical ability (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, standard/metric measurements)
- Ability to repeatedly twist, squat, and stoop
- Exposure to infectious organisms, agents and toxic chemicals
