Job description

We are looking for an experienced Chiller Technician to join us in providing excellent service.

Dynamic Systems, Inc. is a national turnkey mechanical and process construction firm that offers preconstruction and construction services while specializing in installing, servicing, and maintaining HVAC, plumbing, and process systems. Clients include major firms in the biopharmaceutical, semiconductor firms, healthcare, hospitality, and commercial sectors. DSI has regional offices in Atlanta, Austin (Headquarters), Boston, Buda (Fabrication and Administration), College Station, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, Lubbock, Poughkeepsie, and San Antonio.

As a Chiller Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing chillers in a variety of settings. You will need to be knowledgeable in chiller construction, chiller systems, and safety regulations.

We are looking for someone who is self-motivated with excellent problem-solving skills and able to work independently. The ideal candidate will also be detail-oriented and have a customer-focused approach.

Job Responsibilities

Education/Experience: Completion of a Union Apprentice program or equivalent training, and/or on the job experience of at least 5 years relative to chiller maintenance and repairs.

Certification: EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) certification for handling refrigerants. Factory training from major manufacturers is a plus.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading electrical/control schematics, and technical manuals. Strong understanding of refrigeration cycles, electrical systems, and mechanical components.

Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues with chiller systems efficiently. Strong skills in efficiently identifying deficiencies with chiller systems. Strong skills in understanding the inner working of a chiller, pumps, cooling towers and associated controls.

Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and perform tasks that require physical stamina.

Communication Skills: Good communication skills to interact with clients and team members effectively.

Licensing: Must have a valid Texas Driver's license with no more than 2 minor violations in the last 3 years, and no major violations.

Ability to work with tablet-based service ticket software system.

Ability to work overtime as needed and be part of a scheduled on-call rotation.




Job Requirements

Journeyman license

3+ years of Chiller experience

Healthcare facility experience highly preferred

Understanding of control systems and wiring

Good understanding of safety procedures and regulations

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Professional, ethical, and a team player willing to grow with the company

Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Salary range will be $35-$45 an hour, depending on experience.
