What you'll do:

  • Ensure financial data is entered correctly and accurately
  • Process high volume accounts payables
  • Prepare checks as and when necessary
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted
  • Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures & implement a system of controls over accounting transactions
  • Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements
  • Oversee the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards
  • Provide financial analysis to help support the Operations Team and Ownership
  • Implement and monitor internal controls, and be familiar with all aspects of the accounting department
Requirements:
  • Accounts Payable experience required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Quickbooks, and Google Suite
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality concerning financial files
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and accrual accounting practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detail, and accuracy is imperative
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree with accounting coursework preferred
  • At least three years of bookkeeping experience is required, preferably in the hospitality industry

Salary: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00
