Role Overview

Job Title: Director of Business Intelligence
Location: Austin, TX HQ office
Department: Marketing
Reports to: Chief Marketing Officer
Job Type: Full-Time, Exempt

The Director of Business Intelligence will be responsible for developing and executing the strategic vision for data analytics and business intelligence across the organization. This role will lead the efforts to harness data to drive insights, enhance decision-making, and optimize operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, business intelligence tools, and experience in the wellness or healthcare industry and ideally comes from a franchise or multi-unit system.

Key Responsibilities + Metrics

Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive business intelligence strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives.

Data Analysis: Lead the collection, analysis, and interpretation of complex data sets to drive strategic business decisions and operational improvements.

Dashboard & Reporting Development: Oversee the design and implementation of dashboards and reporting tools that provide actionable insights to key stakeholders.

Team Management: Lead a high-performing team of data analysts and business intelligence professionals, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making.

Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, product and finance, to identify business intelligence needs and develop tailored solutions.

Performance Metrics: Define, track and use key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success, inform business strategy and help drive performance at franchisee and franchisor level. Use trend analysis to identify gaps and opportunities in business operations.

Stakeholder Engagement: Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and other stakeholders to support strategic planning and initiatives.

Requirements

Location:

This role is based out of our Austin, TX headquarters office with a hybrid in-office schedule.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field; MBA preferred.

Experience:

7+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.

Proven experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and data visualization techniques.

Experience in the wellness or healthcare industry preferred, but not required.

Experience in a franchise business preferred, but not required.

Skills:

Strong analytical skills and proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and statistical analysis.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.

Strong problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset.

Understanding of data warehousing concepts.

Capacity to align BI initiatives with overall business goals and objectives.

Skill in interpreting data to uncover trends, patterns, and insights.

Ability to make informed decisions based on data analysis.
