The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced, high caliber Education Program Specialist to support and track internal programs as part of the professional education team onsite in Austin, TX. The Abbott Education Program Specialist will be responsible for supporting the CRM Educators and Education leads to deliver programs and projects to successfully educate the Abbott Field Sales and Clinical Support teams across the entire CRM portfolio.
What You'll Work On
Using strong organizational skills and agility, the incumbent will be responsible to coordinate educational events and other programs.
This includes but is not limited to planning, reserving resources, inviting team members, registering attendees, assembling agendas, coordinating local logistics, setting up events, greeting attendees, ensuring the program runs smoothly, post-program cleanup, collecting meeting feedback, and closing out / reporting on events. This role may also be required to track internal trainee certifications.
Work will also focus on making all encounters, programs and reporting as efficient, cost effective, and comprehensive as possible and contributing to an environment of continuous improvements.
What You'll Do
Coordinate and lead program planning meetings.
Coordinate calendars and provide accurate, timely, and professional communications for internal stakeholders and attendees.
Manage content / agenda creation, review, and approvals.
Manage all attendee registrations, enrollments, and logistics.
Coordinate shipping and setup at facilities including hotels or the occasional animal lab. Setup includes printed materials and equipment / products.
Manage, deliver, and report on pre-program and post-program surveys.
Document all OEC required close-out actions post-program.
Track pre-program and post-program analytics, including budget, attendees, and feedback.
Monitor and track attendee certification progress within tools.
Support training tracking activities for field team members being trained/signed off.
Develop checklists and document procedures for CRM Education's seamless and compliant program/event execution.
Take initiative and use independent judgment to manage all meeting logistics on time and within budget.
Support a culture of best practices, continuous improvements, and efficiency by constantly seeking to enhance education operations to drive efficiencies, scalability, and compliance.
Partner with the respective Ethics & Compliance and Legal departments, to ensure compliance of all activities.
Monitor and enforce all Abbott Business Conduct standards and regulations as they pertain to HCP programs and ensure all programs follow AdvaMed, Sunshine reporting, state laws, and association guidelines
Comply with global regulations and requirements, company policy, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments
Ensure personal understanding of all quality policy/system items that are personally applicable and follow all work/quality procedures to ensure quality system compliance and high-quality work
Required Qualifications
2+ years' experience with customer coordination and meeting/program planning.
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Exceptional communication skills and professional demeanor.
Preferred Qualifications
Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills with strong attention to details.
Proactive problem solving.
Able to work independently, make accurate decisions and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Able to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Experience in medical device, healthcare or pharmaceuticals preferred.
Experience with event management tools (CVENT, etc) preferred.
Job Requirements
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
