Position Details:

Position Type: Full Time / Contract (12 months with opportunity for extension)

Job Location: Austin, TX (in-office)

Compensation: $40 - $58.00/hr depending upon qualifications

Position Summary:

AutoCad designer/drafter is required to ensure timely and efficient production of drawing packages that support semiconductor tool installations and ongoing infrastructure improvements for electrical equipment. This person will work with the Engineering, Project Management, internal customers and electrical crafts electricians. This individual develop/update/maintain electrical drawings (schematics, single lines, plan views, etc) that support the facilities ongoing electrical efforts and plans. The individual should have demonstrated strong time management skills to meet the deliverable requirements of the department and customers.

Job Skills & Knowledge:

Must be proficient in AutoCad 2019 or newer (which includes knowledge of X'refs)

Must be equally proficient with both the AutoCad menus, function keys and command line instructions.

Must be comfortable using both the paper space and model space environments in AutoCad.

Familiarity with AutoCad programming is a plus

Must be skilled in reading/developing/producing electrical drawings (circuit diagrams, cable routing, single line drawings, electrical plan view drawings, etc).

Must have an above average understanding of the National Electric Code (NFPA 70, NEC) and incorporate those rules into the drawing packages they produce.

Must be able to read / understand PI&D's

Must be able to adapt existing products and processes in unique ways to solve customer problems

Must be able to help create solutions to customer problems

Must be proficient in the use of common office software such as Microsoft Word and Excel

Must take ownership of his / her projects

Must be able to multi-task while maintaining project deadlines

Must be self-motivated

Knowledge of Semiconductor industry / Tool Hook-up is a plus

Job Responsibilities:

Develop conceptual & detailed drawing packages by analyzing equipment / vendor specifications, customer requirements, & existing designs.

Work with multiple customers and Facilities personnel

Support Electrical Engineering evaluations (working with Engineering System Owners)

Maintain utility electrical equipment database

Should be able to spend time in the field (interior and exterior tasks) performing investigations to support the production of electrical drawings and construction packages.

Follow Design & Cad best practices

Maintain confidential information

Follow and comply with all safety regulations
