Full Stack Developer - Java/Angular
Position Description
CGI is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer who is experienced working with cross-functional teams, to join our Texas Public Sector team. As part of our team, you will collaborate with the team while individually contributing to project deliverables that meet our clients' needs.
You will be required to be at client site in Austin Texas 2 days per week.
Your future duties and responsibilities
• Design new products, product features, and product enhancements for large scale applications
• Participate in PI and sprint planning
• Provide unit test coverage and validation support
• Review and understand specifications, use cases, and requirements
• Support continuous integration and deployment
• Conduct code reviews for more junior members of the team
• Investigate and resolve issues
• Refactor / optimize code
• Thrive in a collaborative environment to drive team success
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• 8+ years of professional software development experience designing and building web-based enterprise application with Java. Master's degree may be substituted for 2 years of experience.
Must be very strong on Frontend development
• Experience as a Java developer using Java/J2EE, Spring boot framework and ORM Hibernate framework
• Strong core Java experience with OOP concepts
• Hands On Experience with Spring Framework, creating REST webservices and persisting objects in Relational Databases
• Expertise with SQL and one or more of the following: Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server
• Able to conduct code reviews and complete pull requests with Azure DevOps
• Ability to create and improve TDD coverage with JUnit, Cucumber, Karma, Jasmine
• Understanding of Agile/Lean software development principles along with experience participating in agile projects
• Experience with Front End frameworks, HTML, CSS, NPM, Angular - 15 or above, is a plus
• Experience with Java Design Patterns, Hibernate, Maven, JUNIT5, GIT/GITHUB, Postman, Java Mockito, or other mock tools for testing, and Java logging Log4
• Extensive knowledge in developing and executing unit tests and integration tests
• Research and develop new technologies and best practices
• Experience with Microsoft ADO or an equivalent toolset
• Builds strong trusting relationships with the client stakeholders and/or client project teams
• Strong leadership skills
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
Desired Qualifications:
• Knowledge of Red Hat Workflow, MuleSoft ESB
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform
• Hands-on technical lead experience
• Public Sector (State and Local Government) consulting experience
CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The
determination of this range includes various factors not limited to: skill set level; experience and training; and licensure and
certifications. CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are
dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $76,300 - $190,100.
