Job description

JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and oversee large-scale commercial construction projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing complex commercial construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Senior Project Manager will collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams to deliver exceptional project outcomes that meet or exceed client expectations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

PROJECT LEADERSHIP AND PLANNING:

Develop and oversee comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies for commercial construction projects.
Lead all project phases, from pre-construction through to project closeout, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
Ensure project scope, goals, and deliverables align with company standards and client requirements.

CLIENT AND STAKEHOLDER COMMUNICATION:

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and other key stakeholders.
Provide regular project updates, manage client expectations, and address any concerns or adjustments to scope promptly.
Build and maintain strong client relationships to support successful project delivery and client satisfaction.

FINANCIAL OVERSIGHT AND BUDGET MANAGEMENT:

Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring cost control and financial efficiency.
Monitor financial performance, reporting on variances and adjusting as needed to stay within budget.
Negotiate high-value contracts, change orders, and financial agreements to ensure project profitability.

QUALITY AND SAFETY ASSURANCE:

Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure all construction work meets industry standards and project specifications.
Oversee safety protocols to ensure all activities comply with OSHA, local, state, and federal safety regulations.
Conduct regular site inspections and audits, proactively identifying and resolving any issues related to quality or safety.

SCHEDULING AND LOGISTICS:

Develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules, ensuring alignment with project timelines and client expectations.
Coordinate all logistics, including material deliveries, labor allocation, and resource management, to ensure timely project completion.
Address and mitigate potential delays or bottlenecks that could impact the project timeline.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in commercial construction project management, with demonstrated success in managing large-scale projects.
PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent is preferred.
Strong understanding of commercial construction processes, methods, and industry best practices.
Proven leadership, team management, and client relationship skills in commercial construction.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, Primavera).
Strong financial acumen, with experience in budget management and cost control.
Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Knowledge of local, state, and federal construction codes and regulations.
